GPS & Wireless Data Networks:

The WebTech Locator utilizes GPS technology to monitor vehicle whereabouts and a wireless modem to transmit the vehicle data from the vehicle to the WebTech Network Operations Center. The WebTech Locator utilizes GSM/GPRS networks to provide unique data-based services beyond location. GSM is the wireless global network standard and GPRS is its data enhancement that provides unprecedented transmission speeds and an 'always on' connection. Choose from a variety of PDAs (Pocket PC or Palm OS) including Palm, IPAQ, HP Jornada or connect existing laptops to the WebTech Locator to provide an in-vehicle computing center. PDAs provide unlimited capabilities ranging from message display to signature capture for delivery verification and digital form capability. The WebTech Locator has a standard serial port that provides immediate access to wireless connectivity for any mobile computing tool.
